SEMA Las Vegas 2009

This year I was glad to see that SEMA seem to be back in the swing of things. I saw many company’s out in full force. As last year seemed to be the year of the Skyline, this year seemed to be the year of the Camaro. The vibe was cool this year and the cars were even cooler. Sgt.Nick Ashby and his award winning Camaro were setting things strait in the GM booth along with a lot of other well designed vehicles. I was glad that GM made that push this year and gave some cars to some creative individuals because I felt that they received the attention in return 10 fold. Neil Tjin is another example of another Top honors Camaro that was designed to perfection. West Coast Customs came strong this year with there massive display owning the outside area. Ryan Friedlinghaus the owner of West Coast Customs brought out his very own 1932 Rat Rod custom. I would have to say when I saw the WCC droptop Belair I almost lost it. That car was fully restored and my guess is that they rebuilt it on a recent chassis with all the new wiring, brakes, engine and some really nice wheels. The interior was fully custom and completely original and looked totally factory. While out stomping the pavement I ran into Kevyn Major Howard (Rafterman from “Full Metal Jacket”) He has Founded a project called “Fuled by the Fallen” when he takes a whole fleet of Memorial race cars on a road tour around the states in support of fallen solders. With all this going on there were a few more company’s that stood out just to name a few… Eibach, PPG Paint and materials, Kicker, BDL, Wolfgang Publications, Roland Sands and some cool Off-Road company’s. Not to forget our buddie Dave Perewitz that just about walked the whole show with us this year. It is a good year for cars, and a better year for the world renound SEMA Show. We met lots of great new friends and experience a broken down productions truck, but we persevered and got through it and had a great time. We can’t wait for next year and maybe well catch you showing off what you have to offer, next year in Las Vegas at the SEMA Show.
